Cupuaçu butter — sourced from the Amazonian Theobroma Grandiflorum, a genus whose name translates as 'food of the gods' — has a natural silicone-like quality that gives the cream its silky afterfeel, and a moisture-holding capacity found in almost no other plant butter, at roughly 240% of its own weight.
